We bring you last week's top performances from Greeks who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis Antetokounmpo
#1. This week's number one is an international swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo (211-94, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in NBA). He led Milwaukee Bucks to a victory over the Brooklyn Nets (9-47) 129-125 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. Antetokounmpo was MVP of the game. He recorded 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in 40 minutes on the court. The Milwaukee Bucks have 25-30 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Antetokounmpo's fourth year with the team. Antetokounmpo has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 23.4ppg, 8.7rpg, 5.4apg, 1.9bpg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 57.2%(417-729), 3FGP: 27.5% and FT: 79.2% in 54 games he played so far. Antetokounmpo has a dual citizenship: Greek and Nigerian. He is currently a member of the Greek senior national team.

Michael Bramos
Michael Bramos
#2. Second place goes to former international swingman Michael Bramos (196-87, college: Miami, OH, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). Bramos was the major contributor in an Umana Venezia's victory against the fifth-ranked Ventspils (7-7) 70-61 in the Basketball Champions League last Wednesday. Bramos' overall stats this season are: 9.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 40.9%, 3FGP: 44.8% and FT: 84.6%. He is a naturalized American. Bramos played for the Greek national team in 2013. Strangely he has never played in Greece.

Fotios Lampropoulos
Fotios Lampropoulos
#3. The Greek player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former U18 international power forward Fotios Lampropoulos (206-83, currently plays in Argentina). He was the main contributor in a 3-point Boca Juniors' victory against the seventh-ranked Olimpico de La Banda (17-18) 89-86 in the Argentinian LigaA in Saturday night's game. Lampropoulos was the best player in that game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 10 rebounds. Lampropoulos also added 6 assists. Aerochaco Boca Juniors Capital Feder (11-24) is placed ninth in Sur group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Lampropoulos' first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Lampropoulos averages: 15.6ppg, 8.4rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 57.4%(206-359), 3FGP: 29.6% and FT: 85.3%. He played for the Greek U18 national team fourteen years ago.

Loukas Mavrokefalidis
Loukas Mavrokefalidis
#4. Center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84, currently plays in China) contributed to a Qingdao Eagles' victory against the closely-ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (16-22) 105-98 in the Chinese CBA last Wednesday. Mavrokefalidis had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 4 assists in 35 minutes. Qingdao Double Star Eagles (16-22) are placed 12th in the CBA. The Regular Season already ended. Mavrokefalidis has very impressive stats this year: 20.0ppg, 9.1rpg, 2.4apg and 1.6spg in 20 games. He used to play for the Greek national team back in 2013.

Ian Vougioukas
Ian Vougioukas
#5. Former international power forward Ian Vougioukas (212-85, college: St.Louis, currently plays in VTB United League). Vougioukas could not help Lokomotiv (13-3) to beat CSKA (15-2). He scored 6 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Lokomotiv was defeated 83-77 on the road by the leading CSKA. They ended the series of thirteen consecutive victories. Vougioukas' overall stats this season are: 8.9ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.3apg. He used to play for the Greek national team three years ago.

Leonidas Kaselakis
Leonidas Kaselakis
#6. Small forward Leonidas Kaselakis (202-90, currently plays in VTB United League) helped his Kazakhstan team Astana win their game against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (4-12) 80-70 in the VTB United League last Sunday. He scored 16 points (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line). BK Astana (7-10) is placed eighth in the VTB United League. It was his team's first victory after five consecutive loses. Kaselakis' overall stats this season are: 6.5ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.3apg. He is a former U20 international player as he played for the Greek team seven years ago.

Tyler Dorsey
Tyler Dorsey
#7. International shooting guard Tyler Dorsey (193-96, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Oregon win their game against the University of Utah (3-10) 79-61 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Dorsey scored 16 points in 26 minutes. The University of Oregon has quite an impressive 11-2 conference record this season. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Dorsey has relatively good stats this year: 13.0ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.9apg in 28 games. He is a naturalized American. Dorsey is also Greek national team player. Apparently he has never played in Greece.

Dimitrios Katsivelis
Dimitrios Katsivelis
#8. Guard Dimitrios Katsivelis (196-91, currently plays in VTB United League) is a teammate of previously mentioned Leonidas Kaselakis and both played together in the last VTB United League game. Katsivelis helped his Kazakhstan team Astana win their game against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (4-12) 80-70. He scored 9 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Katsivelis' overall stats this season are: 7.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.5apg and 1.3spg. He used to play for the Greek national team back in 2013.

Kostas Koufos
Kostas Koufos
#9. International center Kostas Koufos (213-89, college: Ohio St., currently plays in NBA) managed to help Sacramento Kings in a 1-point victoryagainst the Los Angeles Lakers (19-39) 97-96 in the NBA last Tuesday. Koufos scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 26 minutes. The Sacramento Kings have 24-33 record this season. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Koufos' overall stats are: 6.1ppg and 5.4rpg in 57 games. He is a naturalized American. Koufos is also in the roster of the Greek national team. Interesting that he has never played in Greece.

Georgios Papagiannis
Georgios Papagiannis
#10. Center Georgios Papagiannis (217-97, currently plays in NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kostas Koufos. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Papagiannis was not able to help the Sacramento Kings in their game against the Golden State Warriors (47-9). He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Sacramento Kings (24-33) were crushed 109-86 in Oakland by the Golden State Warriors. Papagiannis' total stats this season are: 1.5ppg and 1.3rpg. He is U20 international player who is currently on the Greek National Team roster.

#11. Former U19 international forward Konstantinos Mitoglou (208-96, currently studies in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the Wake Forest in their game against the Duke University in the NCAA. Mitoglou scored 8 points. His team was defeated 99-94. Mitoglou's total stats this season are: 9.1ppg and 5.9rpg. He used to play for the Greek U19 national team two years ago.

#12. Former U18 international center Ioannis Dimakopoulos (218-94, is currently at the American university) helped Cal-Irvine win their game against the University of California, Riverside 79-60 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. Dimakopoulos scored 9 points and blocked 2 shots. This season he has relatively solid stats: 11.4ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.1apg. Dimakopoulos used to play for the Greek U18 national team back in 2012.

#13. Former U20 international forward Ilias Theodorou (201-95, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Pacific win their game against the University of Portland 76-65 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Theodorou scored only 3 points. His total stats this season are: 1.6ppg and 1.3rpg. Theodorou used to play for the Greek U20 national team two years ago.

#14. Former U18 international swingman Haris Plioukas (200-89, currently plays in Germany) couldn't help Hagen BG (16-5) in their last game.
