A2 top team - Panionios (20-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked AE Larissas (10-12) in Athens 86-60. They outrebounded AE Larissas 38-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Sakis Karydas (182-79) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Sotiris Billis (198-96) contributed with 16 points for the winners. point guard Apollon Deligiorgis (192-93) replied with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for AE Larissas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Panionios maintains first position with 20-2 record. AE Larissas lost third consecutive game. AE Larissas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Amyntas Dafnis. Panionios are looking forward to face Doxa Pefkon (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AE Larissas will play against Psychiko and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Athens was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Iraklis (19-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Psychiko (11-11). Iraklis managed to secure a 5-point victory 88-83. Guard Yannis Gagaloudis (192-78) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Kostas Totsios chipped in 23 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Nikolaos Papanikolaou (209-85) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Iraklis have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-3 record behind leader Panionios. Psychiko at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Holargos. Iraklis will play against bottom-ranked Pagrati (#16) in Athens in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Psychiko will play on the road against AE Larissas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Arkadia between Amyntas Dafnis and Arkadikos. Tenth ranked Amyntas Dafnis (10-12) got a very close victory on the road over 12th ranked Arkadikos (7-15). Amyntas Dafnis managed to escape with a 2-point win 84-82 on Saturday evening. Leonidas Zoupas notched a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 assists to lead the effort. Amyntas Dafnis' coach Alexis Zavos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by Dovydas Redikas did not help to save the game for Arkadikos. Amyntas Dafnis have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with AE Larissas. Arkadikos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Amyntas Dafnis will meet at home GS Larissas (#15) in the next round where they are favorite. Arkadikos will play against Holargos and hope to secure a win.
The game between 15th ranked GS Larissas (5-17) and fourth ranked Faros (16-5) in Larissas ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Keratsiniou outscored GS Larissas 103-66. Vaggelis Karaboulas fired 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Faros' coach Giannis Tzimas felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Faros have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 16-5 record. Newly promoted GS Larissas keeps the fifteenth place with 17 games lost. Faros' next round opponent will be higher ranked Doukas (#3) in Athens and it may be the game of the week. GS Larissas will play on the road against Amyntas Dafnis (#10) in Athens and hope to win that game.

Other games in round 22 were not that significant. Irakleio beat Pagrati on the road 87-80. Holargos won against Kavala on its own court 86-68. Doxa Pefkon unfortunately lost to Ethnikos in Piraeus 80-86. Doukas managed to beat Aiolos Astakou at home 76-64.
The most impressive performance of 22th round was 19 points and 4 assists by Ioannis Angelopoulos of Amyntas Dafnis.

Psychiko - Iraklis 83-88
