Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panionios have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Panionios maintains first position with 22-2 record. Aiolos Astakou at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Panionios are looking forward to face Faros (#4) in Keratsiniou in the next round. Aiolos Astakou will play at home against Psychiko and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Piraeus was also worth to mention about. 4th ranked Faros (17-6) played at the court of sixth ranked Ethnikos (13-11). Ethnikos managed to secure a 5-point victory 91-86. Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Athens: Doukas (#3) and Amyntas Dafnis (#9). Despite it looked like an easy game for Doukas, those rules do not exist in derby games. It's more the case of honor for local supporters and such games have that special and unique approach you cannot find in other games. Guest Amyntas Dafnis challenged much higher ranked Doukas giving them a very tough game, but finally losing it by six points 77-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Amyntas Dafnis. The winners were led by Alexis Kiritsis who scored that evening 24 points and 6 rebounds. Arkadikos - Kavala 74-58

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Arkadia where 12th ranked Kavala (7-16) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Arkadikos (8-16) 74-58. The winners were led by power forward Efthimios Tsakaleris (207-89) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and center Savvas Tsougarakis (207-86) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even 12 points and 6 assists by Polish-American guard Andy Mazurczak (188, college: Wisc.-Parkside, agency: Duran International) did not help to save the game for Kavala. Forward Antonis Sklivas (203-95) added 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Arkadikos moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Doxa Pefkon. Kavala at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Arkadikos' next round opponent will be GS Larissas (#15) at home. Kavala will play against the league's second-placed Iraklis where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

Psychiko - Doxa Pefkon 83-66

Rather predictable result in Athens where seventh ranked Psychiko (13-11) beat 11th ranked Doxa Pefkon (8-16) 83-66.
