Pelekanos
The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds.

A2 top team - Panionios (23-3) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they beat tenth ranked Amyntas Dafnis (12-14) in Athens 83-66. Panionios made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. The former international Michalis Pelekanos (198-81) scored 23 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) to lead the charge for the winners and center Tasos Dimitriadis (204-82) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Guard Ioannis Angelopoulos (194-91) responded with 12 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Panionios maintains first position with 23-3 record, which they share with Iraklis. Amyntas Dafnis at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with AE Larissas. Panionios is looking forward to face Holargos (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Amyntas Dafnis' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Psychiko.
The game in Athens supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Faros (19-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Psychiko (13-13). Center Gaios Skordilis (207-87, agency: Diamond Sports) notched 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Fotis Vasilopoulos supported him with 17 points and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds by forward Nikolaos Papanikolaou (209-85) did not help to save the game for Psychiko. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Faros maintains fourth position with 19-6 record. Psychiko at the other side keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Holargos. Faros will play against bottom-ranked Pagrati (#16) in Athens in the next round which should be another easy win for them.
