SPM Shoeters Den Bosch celebrated the Dutch Cup title. They prevailed against Leiden in a tough Final clash. The victory marked the seventh Cup success in Den Bosch history. Stefan Wessels (203-F-84) nailed 13 points including decisive points late in regulation to lead the winners. Leiden and Den Bosch stayed neck and neck throughout the opening quarter. The scoreboard read 17:17 after ten minutes. Leiden pulled ahead in the second frame. They recorded a 39:33 halftime lead. But Den Bosch stiffened defensively in the third term. They held their opponents to just 8 points and eked out a one-point lead at the final intermission. The lead changed hands throughout the fourth quarter before Stefan Wessels gave Den Bosch a 58:57 lead. Leiden missed few chances to save the game as Den Bosch got away with a dramatic victory. Dejan Kravic (211-F-90, college: Texas Tech) posted 12 points, while Leon Williams (183-PG-91, agency: Court Side) added 9 points for the winners. He was trumped the MVP. DBL All-Stars jumped to a 25:22 lead after the first period. They stretched the margin at 54:46 at the interval. Orange Lions cut the deficit at 7-point mark at the final intermission. Orange Lions followed with a 27:18 run in the fourth stanza and sealed the win.
