Erik Schuur
Well whoa, whoa-Hey hey, what can you say about week 16 as teams that got comfortable in their positions took one to the chin as the standings seemed to shift for teams other than Binnenland who remains undefeated in the league. Most to the part of some teams/players have a tendency to get comfortable when they have defeated their opponents easily before or feel that the game is not important. As we have heard/said many times before that no game is less important than the next. Well BC Amsterdam was the first to feel it as they lost at home over De Groene Uilen 75-64 thank to the experienced play of Erik Schuur (197-G-82) while De Hoppers defeated Z&Z2 at home 70-61 and shaking up the standings. Binnenland won easily over Almonte 99-50 while GOBA sent Punch back to Delft with a 65-57 win. The Cangaroes defeated Jugglers 69-55 while VBC Akrides taught a young Rotterdam2 team a lesson to get veteran players early in the season winning easily 85-58. Finally, the Red Giants bounced back to win convincly over BV Hoofddorp 105-77. It's clear that the race has opened up for five teams to get the final 3 spots as Binnenland has secured a playoff spot and working on the #1 seed. As well as the bottom, Rotterdam2 and Jugglers may be stepping down due to poor coaching and personnel decisions. STOP trying to go so young and get players to win. Stay tuned...

Round 16 Scores:

Goba - Punch 65-57
Red Giants - BV Hoofddorp 105-77
BC Amsterdam - De Groene Uilen 64-75
Almonte - Binnenland 50-99
De Hoppers - Z&Z2 70-61
Cangeroes - Jugglers 69-55
Rotterdam2 - VBC Akrides 58-85
