Stepco BS Weert has extended the contract of basketball coach Jim Meil by one year. Despite the disappointing performances last season with a seventh place in the Dutch league, the management of Stepco BSW is convinced that it is okay to continue on this path. The team played well under Jim Meil and the organization around the team was greatly improved. Financial terms were not released Tuesday when Stepco BSW announced the extension.

However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Leeuwarden 42-30 including 35 on the defensive glass.
