In the last 10-15 years the game of basketball in Holland has suffered a great deal. Other nations are maximizing the athletic and skill potential of their young players.
Instead of making more avenues to get our prospects better, the pro-teams using those young players just to fill the bench.
I understand that more players wont make money playing basketball than will but its not only about them. The product of basketball in Holland is pretty bad right now.
The last two years a lot of Dutch prospects left Holland, because of this situation, moving to the US or Spain to develop their skills and to seek their dreams.

Defending champion Donar Groningen (Eredivisie) landed experienced 37-year old American guard Teddy Gipson (191-89kg-80, college: Arkansas). He played most recently at Boulogne in French ProB.
