Sweden outplayed Holland 61-51 in the last day of U16 EuroBasket in Miskolc. It was a game for 11th place at this event and it belongs to Sweden. Holland ended as No.12 and both teams will compete in Division A also next year. Sweden had 44-38 lead with ten minutes remaining in the game, but Holland came to minus two at the beginning of Q4. Sweden immediately replied with crucial 9-0 run, what was too much for Holland for rest of the way. Andjela Hrnjez (185-C-96) paced Sweden with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Anna Stern scored 11 points, while Sigrid Sandstrom (177-G-96) and Karolina Brunnberg (176-G-96) netted 6 points each. In defeat, Janis Ndiba (185-PF-97) collected 12 points and 14 rebounds. Esther Fokke (180-PF-96) (5 rebs) and Fenne van der Wielen (171-PG-96) posted 10 points apiece. Spain is the Gold medal winner in Miskolc.

Connecticut Sun waived 24-year old Dutch ex-international forward Chatilla Van Grinsven (190-89, college: St.Joseph's).
Van Grinsven just graduated from Saint Joseph's University and it is her first season in pro basketball. Her team won Atlantic 10 Tournament. Van Grinsven received All-Atlantic 10 1st Team award in 2013 at her college time.
