The University of Groningen finished on the 15th place in the 16-team tournament on the 1st edition of the European Universities Games held in Cordoba, Spain. They lost the game for the 13th spot against Riga Stradins University (Latvia) with 67-53. The team of head coach Hans Nieboer won the final game of the tournament for the 15th place against the university of Tilburg 102-60. There was a very big difference with our team. We have played a good tournament and with a little luck we were finished higher but the difference in strength, technique and hardness was enormous, thus head coach Hans Nieboer .

Leiden takes 2-0 lead in Eredivisie Finals. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Leeuwarden won third quarter 13-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Leeuwarden 42-30 including 35 on the defensive glass.
