American guard Zack Novak (193-G-90, agency: Priority Sports) had a great game in the last round for Zwolle, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, six rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Leeuwarden (#7, 2-3) with 23-point margin 92-69. Zwolle maintains the 5th position in Dutch Eredivisie. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Zwolle will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Novak had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Zwolle's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Michigan star has very solid stats this year. Novak is in league's top in points (5th best: 16.4ppg).

The second best player in last round's games was -year old American Antwan Carter (198-C, agency: Court Side) of Weert. Carter had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he lead Weert to another comfortable win 82-67 over Amsterdam (#10, 0-5) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Weert left the very bottom place moving slightly to 9th position. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Weert managed to get this year. Carter is a newcomer at Weert, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.4ppg (#3). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Zwolle's star - American forward Darryl Webb (198-F-88, agency: Pro One Sports). Webb scored 24 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Zwolle, helping his team with a 83-71overtime win against Amsterdam (#10, 0-5). Zwolle needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Webb has a great season in Holland. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.2rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Arno Bunnig (197-F-85) of Zwolle - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Tony Gallo (180-G-89) of Leiden - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Worthy de Jong (194-SG-88) of Leiden - 19 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Sjors Besseling (198-F-85) of Weert - 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists
8. Kyle Spain (196-F-87) of M.Magixx - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Tanner Smith (195-G-90) of Zwolle - 25 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Aaron Roye (185-G-88) of Amsterdam - 20 points and 13 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
