Antwan
Carter
-year old center Antwan Carter (198-C, agency: Court Side) had an amazing evening in the last round for Weert and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Leeuwarden (2-5) 92-77. Weert is placed at 7th position in Dutch league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just two victories. Carter turned to be Weert's top player in his first season with the team. Longwood College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Carter is in league's top in points (5th best: 16.9ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.6rpg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 55.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Stefan Wessels (203-F-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy) of top-ranked Den Bosch. He is international forward in his 4th season at Den Bosch. In the last game Wessels recorded impressive double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead Den Bosch to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Rotterdam (#9, 1-6) 111-64. Of course Den Bosch still keep the league's top spot. He plays for the best team in the league and Den Bosch managed to win all 7 games keeping perfect record. Wessels is one of the most experienced players at Den Bosch and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Kyle Spain (196-F-87) of M.Magixx (#5). Spain scored 21 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Spain's great performance M.Magixx lost 81-85 to the higher-ranked Leiden (#2, 6-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing M.Magixx needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Spain has a great season in Holland. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.2ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 7.2rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Dejuan Wright (190-G-88) of Den Bosch - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Wil Carter (203-F-88) of Den Bosch - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Jeroen van der List (213-C-89) of Den Helder K. - 21 points and 11 rebounds
7. Jerrell Williams (203-F-88) of Leeuwarden - 20 points and 7 rebounds
8. Matt Bauscher (188-G-85) of Den Bosch - 17 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Rahmon Fletcher (177-PG-88) of Weert - 11 points, 3 rebounds and 10 assists
10. Arvin Slagter (191-G-85) of Leiden - 24 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
