Ghanian-American guard Kwadzo Ahelegbe (187-G-88) put on an amazing game in the last round for M.Magixx, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, six rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Rotterdam (#9, 1-7) 80-70. M.Magixx is placed at 4th position in Dutch Eredivisie. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. M.Magixx will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. Ahelegbe turned to be M.Magixx's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Northern Iowa star has very solid stats this year. Ahelegbe is in league's top in points (3rd best: 16.9ppg), assists (5th best: 4.3apg) and averages impressive 53.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old international shooting guard Worthy de Jong (194-SG-88, agency: R.H.Consultancy) of league's second-best Leiden. de Jong had a very good evening with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Leiden was edged by the lower-ranked Leeuwarden (#7, 3-5) 73-69. Leiden managed to keep the same second spot in the standings. His team's 6-2 record is not bad at all. de Jong is one of the most experienced players at Leiden and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Josh Magette (185-G-90, agency: Pro One Sports) of Zwolle (#5). Magette scored 24 points and passed six assists. Despite Magette's great performance Zwolle lost 83-85 to slightly higher-ranked Groningen (#3, 5-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Zwolle needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Magette has a great season in Holland. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.1apg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Wil Carter (203-F-88) of Den Bosch - 23 points and 6 rebounds
5. Andre Young (175-G-90) of Den Bosch - 10 points, 4 rebounds and 11 assists
6. Berend Weijs (208-C) of Amsterdam - 18 points and 7 rebounds
7. Maurice Miller (187-G-88) of Groningen - 14 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Sergio de Randamie (201-F-84) of Groningen - 10 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Robert Holcomb Faye (185-G-84) of Leeuwarden - 5 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists
10. Matt Bauscher (188-G-85) of Den Bosch - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
