Robin Smeulders
Robin Smeulders
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Robin Smeulders (207-87, agency: Court Side, college: Portland, currently plays in EuroChallenge). He was the major contributor in a EWE Baskets' victory against the fourth-ranked Kormend (0-3) crushing them 95-64 in the EuroChallenge in Wednesday night's game. Smeulders scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. EWE Baskets Oldenburg (3-0) is placed first in group F. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. There are only three games left until the end of the EuroChallenge Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Smeulders has relatively good stats this year: 11.3ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 66.7%(12-18) in the three games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Dutch and German. Smeulders is currently a member of the Dutch senior national team.
