#1. This week's number one is an international forward Robin Smeulders (207-87, agency: Court Side, college: Portland, currently plays in Germany). He was the major contributor in a EWE Baskets' victory against the 11th-ranked Phoenix Hagen (4-6) crushing them 113-62 in the German BBL in Saturday night's game. Smeulders recorded 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. EWE Baskets Oldenburg (7-3) is placed fourth in the BBL. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Smeulders averages: 5.4ppg, 3.1rpg, 2FGP: 54.8% and FT: 77.3% in the 10 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Dutch and German.
