The game between Top Four teams took place in Leiden. First ranked host Leiden (11-2) smashed 3rd placed Groningen (8-4) 70-48. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Groningen. The game without a history. Leiden led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 Groningen turnovers. It was a great evening for Canadian forward Ross Bekkering (203-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Michael Schachtner (206-86, college: Green Bay) helped adding 15 points. American guard Jason Dourisseau (196-83, college: Nebraska) responded with 7 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leiden have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Groningen at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with M.Magixx. Leiden are looking forward to face Amsterdam (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Groningen will play against the league's second-placed Den Bosch (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Zwolle (#4) was upset in Den Helder by seventh ranked Den Helder K. 89-77. It was an exceptional evening for international center Jeroen van der List (213-89, college: Indian Hills CC, agency: Court Side) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. Storm Warren accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Darryl Webb (198-88, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Pro One Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds for Zwolle in the defeat. Den Helder K. (6-7) moved-up to sixth place. Zwolle at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Den Helder K. will play against bottom-ranked Rotterdam (#10) at home in the next round. Zwolle will play against M.Magixx (#3) in Nijmegen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The best player for the winners was Andre Young who scored 17 points and 6 assists. Den Bosch's coach Raoul Korner felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jerrell Williams produced 15 points for the hosts. Defending champion maintains second place with 10-2 record behind leader Leiden. Loser Leeuwarden dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Den Bosch will meet Groningen (#4) in the next round. Leeuwarden will play against Weert and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Amsterdam - Weert 75-76

A very interesting game took place in Amsterdam. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 9th ranked Amsterdam (1-11) to eighth ranked Weert (4-8) 76-75 in the fight for the eighth place. Amsterdam was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 22-20 charge of Weert, which allowed them to win the game. Weert maintains eighth place with 4-8 record. Amsterdam lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Weert's next round opponent will be higher ranked M.Magixx (#3) in Nijmegen and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. M.Magixx - Rotterdam 88-70

Very expected game in Nijmegen where 10th ranked Rotterdam (1-11) was defeated by fourth ranked M.Magixx (8-4) 88-70. Rotterdam was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 53-33 second half run of M.Magixx. They outrebounded Rotterdam 47-34 including 34 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Kyle Spain (196-87, college: San Diego St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Kelvin Martin (195-89, college: Charleston So.) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. M.Magixx's coach Mark van Schutterhoef allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Cameron Echols (203-81, college: Ball St., agency: R.H.Consultancy) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Anthony Miles (182-89, college: Lamar) added 13 points and 6 assists in the effort for Rotterdam. The victory was the third consecutive win for M.Magixx. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Groningen. Rotterdam lost their tenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. M.Magixx's next round opponent will be Weert (#8) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Rotterdam will play against Den Helder K..

Leeuwarden - Den Bosch 60-98

The game in Leeuwarden supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Den Bosch (10-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Leeuwarden (5-7). Den Bosch smashed Leeuwarden 98-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Den Bosch. Leeuwarden managed to win fourth quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Leeuwarden to just 5 points in first quarter. Den Bosch dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Leeuwarden's 34. They outrebounded Leeuwarden 38-25 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Den Bosch especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Andre Young (175-90, college: Clemson) who scored 17 points and 6 assists. Den Helder K. made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Zwolle 39-28 including 24 on the defensive glass. Zwolle was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch.
