The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 9 in the Prom.Divisie took place in Meppel. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best De Groene (7-2) to tenth ranked Red Giants (4-5) 80-77 on Saturday evening. Red Giants moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Binnenland and BC Apollo 2. De Groene at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Red Giants is looking forward to face Binnenland (#9) in Barendrecht in the next round. De Groene will play at home against UBALL (#14) in Utrecht and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Leiden. Eighth ranked Rotterdam 2 (5-4) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Leiden 2 (5-5) 65-63 on Sunday evening. Rotterdam 2 moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Almonte and De Hoppers. Leiden 2 at the other side dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Rotterdam 2 will play against MSV/Zeemacht (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leiden 2 will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Cangeroes (8-2) which hosted in Utrecht 4th placed Almonte (5-4). Third ranked Cangeroes had an easy win 91-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Almonte. Cangeroes have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser Almonte keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Rotterdam 2 and De Hoppers. Cangeroes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Almonte will play against De Hoppers (#6) in Hoom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Almere P. managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive loses. This time newly promoted Almere P. edged eighth-ranked BC Apollo 2 83-80. Almere P. (2-7) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with UBALL. BC Apollo 2 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Almere P.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked Orca's Urk on the road.
Prom.Divisie top team - Orca's Urk (8-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked UBALL (2-7) in Utrecht 78-61. The victory was the third consecutive win for Orca's Urk. Newly promoted Orca's Urk maintains first place with 8-1 record. UBALL lost their third game in a row. UBALL at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Orca's Urk will have a break next round. UBALL will play on the road against De Groene (#3) in Groningen.

In the last two games of round 9 Binnenland was beaten by MSV/Zeemacht on the road 80-77. De Hoppers destroyed Punch on its own court 82-52.



Cangeroes - Almonte 91-62

An interesting game for Cangeroes (8-2) which hosted in Utrecht 4th placed Almonte (5-4). Third ranked Cangeroes had an easy win 91-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Almonte. Cangeroes have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser Almonte keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Rotterdam 2 and De Hoppers. Cangeroes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Almonte will play against De Hoppers (#6) in Hoom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

MSV/Zeemacht - Binnenland 80-77

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked MSV/Zeemacht (3-6) edged at home higher ranked Binnenland (4-5) 80-77 on Saturday. The victory was the third consecutive win for MSV/Zeemacht. They moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Binnenland keeps the eighth position with five games lost. MSV/Zeemacht will face higher ranked Rotterdam 2 (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

Leiden 2 - Rotterdam 2 63-65

Important game to mention about took place in Leiden. Eighth ranked Rotterdam 2 (5-4) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Leiden 2 (5-5) 65-63 on Sunday evening. Rather expected game when 11th ranked Punch (3-7) was smashed by ninth ranked De Hoppers (5-4) in Hoom 82-52 on Thursday. De Hoppers moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rotterdam 2 and Almonte. Punch lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. De Hoppers will face Almonte (#5) in Eindhoven in the next round.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Groningen. First ranked Groningen faced 4th placed Amsterdam. Host Groningen (10-1) smashed guests from Amsterdam (5-6) 91-65. The game was mostly controlled by Groningen. Amsterdam managed to win second period 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
