There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Eredivisie.

The most exciting game of round 8 in the Eredivisie took place in Amsterdam. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Grasshoppers (4-5) to third ranked CTO (4-5) 79-76 in the game for the third place. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Laura Cornelius (173-96) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and international center Richelle Van Der Keijl (196-93) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The former international guard Natalie Van Den Adel (185-90, college: Colorado St.) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CTO have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 4-5 record having four points less than leader Binnenland, which they share with defeated Grasshoppers. Grasshoppers lost fourth consecutive game. CTO is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Lekdetec.nl (#6) in Bemmel in the next round. Grasshoppers will play at home against Den Helder in Den Helder and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked ProBuild Lions (6-3) against sixth ranked Lekdetec.nl (2-7) on Saturday night. Host ProBuild Lions were crushed by Lekdetec.nl in Landsmeer 75-52. The winners were led by forward Yordi Kathmann (176-94) who scored that evening 25 points and Lisanne de Jonge supported her with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Even 16 points by forward Ayla Simdorn (180-90) did not help to save the game for ProBuild Lions. ProBuild Lions' coach Miljenko Lakner gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Lekdetec.nl maintains sixth position with 2-7 record. Defending champion ProBuild Lions keep the second place with three games lost. Lekdetec.nl will play against higher ranked CTO (#4) in Amsterdam in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. ProBuild Lions will have a break next round.
Eredivisie top team - Binnenland (8-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Den Helder (3-6) 76-61.
