Groningen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Groningen outrebounded Zwolle 47-32 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Zwolle's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Surinamese forward Sergio de Randamie (201-84, college: Houston, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Groningen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Tanner Smith (195-90, college: Clemson, agency: Priority Sports) with 21 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Darryl Webb (198-88, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Pro One Sports) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Groningen went down to fourth position due to points difference. Zwolle lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Den Helder K. and Leeuwarden. Groningen will meet at home higher ranked M.Magixx (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
