Nineteen points in the second quarter, 23 in the first half: for Rashid Alzaabi must have been a special day. The number 11 of the United Arab Emirates fell into that second quarter against the Chinese Jiangsu Lions in a rare intoxication which he could hardly miss. Far three-pointers left his hand in the face his defender ,which he alternated with spectacular dunks and daring penetrations. Only when the signal sounded calm, he woke up and got back on earth. This explosion of the slender forward led UAE after the first 20 minutes with 49-36. That turned out to be the basis for the 94-72 victory of the Arabs.

Basketball Days experienced on the third day a climax so far. In an insane match the until then disappointing WNTA Falcons from the U.S. seemed to be up for a great sensation when it just after half time took an apparently decisive lead of 22 points against tournament favorite Tartu University in Estonia .But the Estonians recovered, and with a rare shower of three-pointers they still brought the 91-103 victory home.

Landstede Zwolle clinched the vital win over the Dutch NT to qualify for the semifinal stage of the Basketball Days. They overcame Holland to claim 2-1 record in Group A.
The victory of Landstede Zwolle also meant that Holland got eliminated from the title race. Holland finished in the third position at 1-2 record. Tanner Smith (195-G-90, agency: Priority Sports, college: Clemson) posted 13 points and 11 boards, while Darryl Webb (198-F-88, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Indiana, PA) contributed 19 points and Zack Novak (193-G-90, agency: Priority Sports, college: Michigan) added 18 points for the winners. Worthy de Jong (194-SG-88, agency: R.H.Consultancy) answered with 21 points for Holland. Mohammed Kherazzi netted 10 points in the loss.

Group A
1. Tartu likool/Rock (EST) 3-6
2. Landstede Basketbal (HOL) 3-4
3. Holland (HOL) 3-2
4. WNTA Falcons (USA) 3-0

Poule B
1. NYC Warriors (USA) 2-4
2. United Arabic Emirates 2-2
3. Jiangsu Lions (CHN) 2-0
