We bring you last week's top performances from Dutchs who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
#1. This week's number one is an international center Henk Norel (214-87, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. He could not help CAI Zaragoza (10-7) in their last game. Despite Norel's very good performance CAI Zaragoza lost in an overtime 88-93 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#13) Blancos de Rueda.
He was the top scorer with 17 points. Norel also added 8 rebounds in 27 minutes on the court.
Norel has relatively good stats this year: 12.5ppg, 6.3rpg, 2FGP: 58.9%(93-158) and FT: 53.1% in the 17 games he played so far.
He is currently a member of the Dutch senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to former U16 international forward Kevin van Wijk (203-89, currently plays college basketball in the States). van Wijk led Valparaiso to a 1-point victory against the University of Detroit Mercy (3-2) 89-88 in the NCAA last Thursday.
He scored 31 points (!!!) and grabbed 5 rebounds.
The Valparaiso University has 4-1 conference record this season.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
This season van Wijk has relatively solid stats: 12.5ppg, 6.3rpg, 2FGP: 58.9%(93-158) and FT: 53.1%.
He played for the Dutch U16 national team in 2005.
#3. The Dutch player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Robin Smeulders (207-87, agency: Court Side, college: Portland, currently plays in EuroChallenge). Smeulders led his German team EWE Baskets to a victory against the fourth-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (0-1) 74-64 in the EuroChallenge on Tuesday night.
He recorded 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 26 minutes.
EWE Baskets Oldenburg (1-0) is placed second in group L.
Smeulders has reliable stats this year: 10.3ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 57.9%(22-38) and FT: 63.2% in the six games.
He has a dual citizenship: Dutch and German.
Smeulders is also a member of the Dutch senior national team.
#4. Power forward Gerald Robinson (202-84, also represented by Court Side, college: Tenn-Martin, currently plays in Cyprus) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams ENAD (3-11) crushing them 103-81 in the Cypriot Division A in Sunday night's game.
He recorded 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Forex Time Apollon (8-6) is placed fourth in the Division A.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
The Regular Season already ended.
Robinson's overall stats this season are: 3.4ppg and 2.2rpg.
He is a naturalized American.
Robinson used to play for the Dutch national team
back in 2011. He played also for Landstede Basketbal Zwolle in Dutch league.
#5. Former U20 international center Thomas van der Mars (208-90, currently studies in the States) contributed to Portland's victory against the Loyola Marymount University (1-4) 68-64 in the NCAA last Saturday.
van der Mars scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 31 minutes.
The University of Portland has 1-3 conference record this season.
This year van der Mars averages: 3.4ppg and 2.2rpg in the 12 games.
He used to play for the Dutch U20 national team
three years ago.
#6. Center Robert Krabbendam (213-86, another player represented by Court Side, college: Virginia Tech, currently plays in Cyprus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Gerald Robinson and both played together in the last Cypriot Division A game.
Krabbendam contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams ENAD (3-11) crushing them 103-81.
He recorded 7 points.
Krabbendam's overall stats this season are: 5.0ppg and 2.7rpg.
He is a former international player as he played for the Dutch senior team three years ago.
#7. Former U18 international center Olaf Schaftenaar (206-93, is currently at the American university), who plays in the NCAA was not able to help the Oregon St. (0-4) in their last game. Despite Schaftenaar's good performance the Oregon St. lost 64-74 in Los Angeles, CA to the Univ.of Calif.at Los Angeles.
He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes.
So far Oregon St. lost all four games in the conference It's Schaftenaar's first season with the team.
This year Schaftenaar's overall stats are: 5.0ppg and 2.7rpg in the six games.
He used to play for the Dutch U18 national team
two years ago.
#8. Power forward Roeland Schaftenaar (211-88, college: Oregon St., currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Leche Rio Breogan (7-7) in their game against FCB Regal II (6-8) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division).
Schaftenaar scored only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
Leche Rio Breogan was badly defeated 75-58 in Barcelona by the lower-ranked FCB Regal II (#9).
Schaftenaar's total stats this season are: 6.8ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.8apg.
He used to play for the Dutch national team
back in 2010.
#9. U18 international center Jito Kok (206-94, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help University of San Diego in a victory against the Loyola Marymount University (1-4) 78-70 in the NCAA on Wednesday night.
Kok recorded only 2 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in 23 minutes.
The University of San Diego has 4-0 conference record this season.
So far his team won all four games in the conference.
This year Kok's total stats are: 6.8ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.8apg in the 13 games.
He is also in the roster of the Dutch U18 national team.
#10. Point guard Charlon Kloof (190-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the St.Bonaventure (0-3) in their game against the Virginia Commonwealth University (3-0) in the NCAA.
Kloof scored only 4 points and added 4 assists in 26 minutes.
The St.Bonaventure lost 65-72 at home to the Virginia Commonwealth University.
So far St.Bonaventure lost all three games in the conference Kloof has averaged so far 9.1ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.1apg in the 15 games.
He is a former U20 international player as three years ago he still played for the Dutch national team.
#11. Former U20 international forward Kadeem Pantophlet (201-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the Duquesne in their game against the Saint Joseph's University in the NCAA. Pantophlet cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones.
He scored only 3 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
His team was defeated 74-66.
Pantophlet has averaged so far 9.1ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.1apg.
He used to play for the Dutch U20 national team
four years ago.

#1.Josh Duinker (210-F/C-89, college: Richmond, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) could not help one of league's weakest teams Caceres Basket (6-9) to beat Ourense (1-7).
Duinker scored only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Caceres Basket was defeated 81-73 on the road by the higher-ranked Ourense (#11).
Duinker has averaged so far 7.9ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.2apg.
He has a dual citizenship: Australian and Dutch.
#2.Kim Tillie (210-F-88, agency: Priority Sports, college: Utah, currently plays in Spain) managed to help UCAM Murcia in a victory against the 16th-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (4-13) 81-75 in the Spanish ACB last Saturday.
Tillie scored only 2 points in 14 minutes.
UCAM Murcia (24-6) is placed in the ACB.
Tillie has averaged so far 7.5ppg and 3.8rpg in the 17 games he played so far.
He is another player who holds two passports: Dutch and French.
#3.Devon Van Oostrum (190-G-93, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Josh Duinker and both played together in the last Spanish LEB Gold game.
Van Oostrum was not able to help one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams Caceres Basket (6-9) in their game against Ourense (1-7).
He scored 7 points.
Caceres Basket was defeated 81-73 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Ourense (#11).
Van Oostrum has averaged so far 9.1ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.1apg.
He has both Dutch and British nationalities.
#4.Joey van Zegeren McAdam (208-F-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an overtime Virginia Tech's victory against the Georgia Tech (0-4) 70-65 in the NCAA on Saturday night.
van Zegeren McAdam scored only 4 points in 15 minutes.
The Virginia Tech has 1-2 conference record this season.
van Zegeren McAdam has averaged so far 9.1ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.1apg in the 15 games.
#5.Jonah Callenbach (194-F/G-93, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Fontedoso Carrefour (5-7) in their game against Castello (5-7) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones.
Callenbach recorded only 2 points.
Fontedoso Carrefour was edged 65-63 in Castellon by the lower-ranked Castello (#8).
It was Fontedoso Carrefour's third consecutive loss in a row.
This season Callenbach averages just 2.6ppg.
He also holds two passports: Portuguese and Dutch.
#6.Daniel Kickert (208-C/F-83, college: St.Mary's, CA, currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague couldn't help Dnipro (8-17) in their last game. Despite Kickert's very good performance Dnipro lost 79-90 at home to the higher-ranked (#9) Cherkasy.
He was the top scorer with 18 points. Kickert also added 7 rebounds in 27 minutes.
Kickert has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.9ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.4apg in the 22 games.
Kickert holds both Australian and Dutch passports.

Leiden snatched a tough home win over Leeuwarden in the championship series opener. Leeuwarden was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 10-point lead after three quarters before a 26-15 charge of Leiden, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Leeuwarden helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Orcas takes Promotiedivisie title as they won the Final game against Binnenland. The Winner of the Regular Season posted a 74:53 win and dominated the Promotiedivisie.

Orcas takes Promotiedivisie title as they won the Final game against Binnenland. The Winner of the Regular Season posted a 74:53 win and dominated the Promotiedivisie. In the Semifinals games Orcas beat Cangeroes 78:72, but lost the second game 68:71. Due to the better difference after two games, they managed to advance to the Final. Binnenland meanwhile smashed De Groene 88:55 in Game 1 but then was smashed by the opponents 35:55 and luckily advanced to the Final. In The Final game Binnenland led 8:7, while Orcas closed the first period with a 10-3 run and managed to take 17-11 lead after the first 10 minutes of the game. They improved to 36:26 lead at the halftime and had 51:40 advantage later in the game. Jesper Jobse (203-C/F-84) top-scored for the winners with 22 points. Sander Trommelen (201-F-87) replied with 18 points in the losing effort.

Leeuwarden shock Den Bosch on their way to the Final. The game was mostly controlled by Leeuwarden. Den Bosch managed to win fourth quarter 30-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Den Bosch 40-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. David Michaels (201-90, college: Whitman, agency: Pro One Sports) fired 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Robert Holcomb Faye (185-84, college: Radford) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Holcomb Faye is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Dejuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Wil Carter (203-88, college: San Jose St.) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side.
