Andre Young
American guard Andre Young (175-G-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Den Bosch, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, six rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush M.Magixx (#4, 12-8) with 19-point margin 104-85. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Den Bosch to consolidate first place in the Dutch Eredivisie. Den Bosch have a solid 18-3 record. Young turned to be Den Bosch's top player in his first season with the team. Former Clemson University star has very solid stats this year. Young is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 7.0apg) and averages impressive 2.4spg,55.0% FGP and 41.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old international shooting guard Worthy de Jong (194-SG-88, agency: R.H.Consultancy) of league's second-best Leiden. de Jong had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Leiden cruised to a 82-70 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Rotterdam (#10, 1-19). Leiden's second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 16 matches. de Jong is one of the most experienced players at Leiden and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Leiden's star - Canadian forward Ross Bekkering (203-F-87). Bekkering scored 24 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Leiden, helping his team with a 82-70 win against the lower-ranked Rotterdam (#10, 1-19). Leiden is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 16-4 record is not that bad... Bekkering has a great season in Holland. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.9rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Stefan Wessels (203-F-84) of Den Bosch - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Anthony Miles (182-G-89) of Rotterdam - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Matt Bauscher (188-G-85) of Den Bosch - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Darryl Webb (198-F-88) of Zwolle - 14 points and 15 rebounds
8. Jason Dourisseau (196-G-83) of Groningen - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Antwan Carter (198-C) of Weert - 22 points and 7 rebounds
10. Robbie Sihota (198-F-87) of M.Magixx - 10 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
