It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Den Bosch. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 49-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Leiden especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was international Worthy de Jong (194-88, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who scored 23 points and 6 assists. Den Bosch will play next round against Den Helder K. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Leiden will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Amsterdam on the road.
Bottom-ranked Rotterdam managed to get a second victory, breaking the eighteen-game losing streak. This time they won against fourth-ranked M.Magixx 82-72. American guard Anthony Miles (182-89, college: Lamar) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 6 assists. Matthew Otten contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The game in Zwolle was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Leeuwarden (11-11) played at the court of seventh ranked Zwolle (12-11). Zwolle defeated Leeuwarden 87-77 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Darryl Webb who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds.
