Antwan
Carter
-year old center Antwan Carter (198-C, agency: Court Side) had an amazing evening in the last round for Weert and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, while his team edged out Rotterdam (#10, 2-20) 83-79. Weert maintains the 8th position in Dutch league. Weert is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-14 record. Carter turned to be Weert's top player in his first season with the team. Longwood College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Carter is in league's top in points (8th best: 15.6ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 8.9rpg) and averages solid 51.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Rahmon Fletcher (177-PG-88, agency: Court Side). He is American guard in his second season at Weert. In the last game Fletcher recorded impressive 23 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists. It was enough for Weert to edge slightly lower-ranked Rotterdam (#10, 2-20) by 4 points 83-79. Weert's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-14 record. Fletcher is well-known at Weert and together with Antwan Carter he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.3ppg (#9). He also recorded 3.9 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Marcel Aarts (213-C-83, agency: R.H.Consultancy) of M.Magixx (#5). Aarts scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Aarts' great performance M.Magixx lost 64-80 to slightly higher-ranked Zwolle (#4, 13-11). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing M.Magixx needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 12 victories and 11 lost games. Aarts has a very solid season. In 22 games in Holland he scored 7.2ppg. He also has 4.9rpg, 1.1bpg and FGP: 60.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Samme Givens (195-F) of Leeuwarden - 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Stefan Wessels (203-F-84) of Den Bosch - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Bryquis Perine (190-G-88) of Weert - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Daniel Jones (200-F-79) of Rotterdam - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Josh Magette (185-G-90) of Zwolle - 15 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Andre Young (175-G-90) of Den Bosch - 14 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Anthony Miles (182-G-89) of Rotterdam - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
