Will Carter
American forward Wil Carter (203-F-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Den Bosch, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Weert (#8, 12-15) with 22-point margin 87-65. It allowed Den Bosch to consolidate first place in the Dutch Eredivisie. Den Bosch have a solid 23-4 record. Carter turned to be Den Bosch's top player in his first season with the team. Former San Jose State University star has very solid stats this year. Carter is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 5.8rpg) and averages impressive 61.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old American Samme Givens (195-F) of Leeuwarden. Givens had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Leeuwarden was edged by slightly higher-ranked Groningen (#3, 19-9) 90-87. This loss caused Leeuwarden to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 15-13 record is not bad and everything may still change. Givens is a newcomer at Leeuwarden, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.8ppg (#7). He also registered 7.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Josh Magette (185-G-90, agency: Pro One Sports) of Zwolle (#4). Magette scored 20 points and passed seven assists. He was a key player of Zwolle, leading his team to a 105-91 easy win against the lower-ranked Rotterdam (#10, 2-25). Zwolle needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 12 lost games. Magette has a great season in Holland. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.6apg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jason Dourisseau (196-G-83) of Groningen - 20 points and 6 rebounds
5. Anthony Miles (182-G-89) of Rotterdam - 28 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Kelvin Martin (195-F-89) of M.Magixx - 21 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Matt Bauscher (188-G-85) of Den Bosch - 7 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists
8. Roman Nardi (186-G-85) of M.Magixx - 21 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Berend Weijs (208-C) of Amsterdam - 12 points and 10 rebounds
10. Nate Rohnert (197-G-87) of Groningen - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
