Eighth-ranked Weert (12-16) made lots of trouble for third ranked Groningen (20-9) on Saturday. The visitors from Groningen managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected much easier game. Weert cut a 25-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was international Jessey Voorn (193-90, agency: Court Side) who scored 17 points and 4 assists. American guard Nate Rohnert (197-87, college: Denver) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Bryquis Perine (190-88, college: Green Bay, agency: Court Side) who recorded 20 points and 5 assists. Groningen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 20-9 record having three points less than leader Den Bosch. Weert at the other side keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. Groningen are looking forward to face Den Helder K. (#6) at home in the next round. Weert will play against Zwolle and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

Den Bosch (24-4) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Amsterdam lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 25 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game in Nijmegen was also quite interesting. Second ranked Leiden (23-6) played at the court of 7th ranked M.Magixx (13-16). Leiden defeated M.Magixx 74-60 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Michael Schachtner who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Kelvin Martin with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Leiden maintains second place with 23-6 record behind leader Den Bosch. Loser M.Magixx keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost. Leiden will meet at home Leeuwarden (#4) in the next round. M.Magixx will have a break next round.

The game was dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for Samme Givens who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Leeuwarden moved-up to fourth place. Zwolle at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Leeuwarden's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Leiden on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zwolle will play against Weert.

However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Storm Warren who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. Den Helder K. maintains sixth place with 14-15 record. Rotterdam lost their seventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Den Helder K. will face higher ranked Groningen (#3) in Groningen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.



Den Bosch - Amsterdam 105-68

Leader Den Bosch delivered the twentieth fourth victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Amsterdam (4-25) 105-68. The game without a history. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Amsterdam's 34 and made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Amsterdam 37-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Den Bosch players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Amsterdam was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Wil Carter (203-88, college: San Jose St.) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Dejuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. It was a great shooting night for Leeuwarden especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The game was dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Samme Givens (195, college: Drexel) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Robert Holcomb Faye (185-84, college: Radford) accounted for 15 points and 11 assists for the winning side. Holcomb Faye is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. 28-year old guard J.T. Tiller (188-G-88) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Zwolle and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
