American Guard La'Shard Anderson (185-G-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Rotterdam, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, five rebounds and nine assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Leeuwarden (6-10) with 19-point margin 87-68. Rotterdam maintains the 7th position in Dutch Eredivisie. Rotterdam is currently ranked second from the bottom. They need more victories to improve their 6-10 record. In the team's last game Anderson had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Rotterdam's top player in his first season with the team. Former Boise State University star has very solid stats this year. Anderson is in league's top in points (3rd best: 18.4ppg), assists (4th best: 5.2apg) and averages impressive 2.7spg and 40.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old Canadian Meshack Lufile (203-PF) of Leeuwarden. Lufile had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Leeuwarden lost that game 68-87 to Rotterdam (6-10). This loss caused Leeuwarden to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-10 record. Lufile is a newcomer at Leeuwarden, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Rens Van Ravensteijn (200-F-95) of Weert (#8). Van Ravensteijn scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Van Ravensteijn's great performance Weert lost 71-89 to the higher-ranked Amsterdam (#5, 7-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Weert can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-15 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Van Ravensteijn he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Van Ravensteijn has a very solid season. In 10 games in Holland he scored 8.4ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Aaron Roye (184-PG-88) of Amsterdam - 22 points and 5 assists
5. Daviyon Draper (201-F-94) of Leiden - 22 points and 9 rebounds
6. Robert Krabbendam (213-C-86) of Rotterdam - 16 points and 11 rebounds
7. Dimeo Van Der Horst (197-G/F-91) of Amsterdam - 25 points and 4 rebounds
8. Sean Cunningham (188-PG-86) of Groningen - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Dyon Halman (204-C/F-94) of Weert - 9 points and 8 rebounds
10. Max Van Schaik (210-PF-91) of Amsterdam - 11 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
