The game between Top Four teams took place in Leiden. 3rd ranked host Leiden (14-8) lost to first ranked Groningen (21-1) 74-57. The game was mostly controlled by Groningen. Leiden managed to win second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Leiden 44-24 including a 36-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Chase Fieler (203-92, college: FGCU) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Arvin Slagter (191-85, agency: Court Side) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Groningen's coach Erik Braal used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Daviyon Draper (201-94, college: FIU) responded with 17 points. Groningen have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-1 record. Leiden at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. Groningen are looking forward to face Den Bosch (#4) on the road in the next round. Leiden will play against Weert and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Bottom-ranked Weert managed to get a third victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they outleveled sixth-ranked Leeuwarden 99-79. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 20-point difference suggests that Weert is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. Power forward Dyon Halman (204-94, agency: Court Side) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Aleek Pauline supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Weert's coach Radenko Varagic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 23 points by American guard Jordan Gregory (188-92, college: Montana) did not help to save the game for Leeuwarden. Weert maintains eighth position with 3-19 record. Leeuwarden at the other side keeps the sixth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Amsterdam. Weert will play against higher ranked Leiden (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Leeuwarden will play against the league's second-placed Zwolle having rather not much hope for a victory.
The game in Rotterdam was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Den Bosch (11-11) played at the court of fifth ranked Rotterdam (9-13). Rotterdam defeated Den Bosch 99-85 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Den Bosch. La'Shard Anderson fired a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 assists for the winners. Justin Watts produced 24 points and 4 assists for lost side. Rotterdam maintains fifth position with 9-13 record. Loser Den Bosch keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Rotterdam will meet at home Amsterdam (#7) in the next round. Den Bosch will play against the league's leader Groningen and hope to secure a win.
The game in Amsterdam was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Zwolle (16-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Amsterdam (7-15). Zwolle defeated Amsterdam 89-74. Worth to mention a great performance of Clayton Vette who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Zwolle's coach Herman van den Belt allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Zwolle have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-6 record having five points less than leader Groningen. Amsterdam lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 15 games lost. Zwolle's next round opponent will be Leeuwarden (#6) on the road. Amsterdam will play against Rotterdam and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rotterdam - Den Bosch 99-85
