Prom.Divisie top team - Grasshoppers (14-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Black Eagles (6-10) in Katwijk 97-57. Grasshoppers have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-1 record. Black Eagles at the other side keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Grasshoppers are looking forward to face Red Giants (#5) in Meppel in the next round. Black Eagles will play at home against CobraNova (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked De Hoppers is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 17th consecutive match to sixth ranked Red Giants (10-7) 73-50. The victory was the third consecutive win for Red Giants. They moved-up to fifth place. De Hoppers lost their seventeenth game in a row. They still close the standings. Red Giants will play against league's leader Grasshoppers in Katwijk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. De Hoppers will play on the road against the league's second-placed Lions (#2) in Landsmeer and hope to get finally their first victory.

The game in Leiden was also quite interesting. Third ranked De Groene (11-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Leiden 2 (8-9). De Groene managed to secure a 8-point victory 80-72 on Sunday. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for De Groene. They maintain third place with 11-5 record having just two points less than leader Grasshoppers, which they share with Lokomotief. Loser Leiden 2 keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. De Groene's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Groningen Groningen.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: Lions smashed New Stars on the road 100-70. Groningen destroyed Punch on its own court 88-51. Black Eagles unfortunately lost to Punch in Delft 65-68. Black Eagles rolled over New Stars at home 78-53. Lions crushed Punch on the opponent's court 84-64. De Groene smashed New Stars in a home game 78-53.

New Stars - Lions 70-100

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Lions (14-4) crushed 10th ranked New Stars (5-12) in Nieuwegein 100-70 on Sunday. Lions maintains second place with 14-4 record having just three point less than leader Grasshoppers. New Stars lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Lions will face bottom-ranked De Hoppers (#12) in Hoom in the next round and are hoping to win another game. New Stars will play on the road against Punch in Delft and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
