The Regular Season in Prom.Divisie is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Groningen: De Groene (#3) and Groningen (#6). De Groene (12-5) won against visiting Groningen (9-7) 59-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Groningen. De Groene have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-5 record having just two points less than leader Grasshoppers, which they share with Lokomotief. Newly promoted Groningen keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. De Groene is looking forward to face New Stars (#10) in Nieuwegein in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Groningen will play at home against Lokomotief (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Leader Grasshoppers delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Red Giants (10-8) 81-65 in Meppel. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Red Giants. Grasshoppers (15-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Red Giants at the other side keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Grasshoppers will play against bottom-ranked De Hoppers (#12) in Hoom in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Red Giants will play on the road against CobraNova (#7) in Leidschendam and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked De Hoppers (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 89-58 loss to second ranked Lions (15-4) in Landsmeer on Saturday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Lions have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-4 record having just three point less than leader Grasshoppers. Loser De Hoppers still closes the standings. Lions will meet Punch (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. De Hoppers will play against the league's leader Grasshoppers in Katwijk and hope to get finally their first victory.

Rest of the games of round 18 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
New Stars were defeated by Punch in Delft 72-61. Lokomotief smashed Leiden 2 at home 102-74. CobraNova won against Black Eagles on the opponent's court 52-48.

Punch - New Stars 72-61

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Delft where 10th ranked New Stars (5-13) were defeated by eleventh ranked Punch (5-13) 72-61 on Saturday. Punch moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated New Stars. New Stars lost sixth consecutive game. Punch will meet at home league's second-placed Lions in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. New Stars will play against De Groene (#3) and hope to secure a win.

No shocking result in a game in Rijswijk where fourth ranked Lokomotief (12-5) smashed 7th ranked Leiden 2 (8-10) 102-74 on Saturday. Lokomotief moved-up to third place, which they share with De Groene. Leiden 2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with CobraNova.
