The Regular Season in Eredivisie is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 5 rounds.

Top ranked Groningen (21-2) recorded its second loss on the court of fourth ranked Den Bosch on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Den Bosch 84-73. It ended at the same time the 16-game winning streak of Groningen. The game without a history. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Den Bosch especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Maarten Bouwknecht (185-94) who scored 18 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). American forward Charles Mitchell (203, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Chase Fieler (203-92, college: FGCU) produced 24 points and 4 assists for the guests. Den Bosch maintains fourth place with 12-11 record. Defending champion Groningen still keeps top position with two games lost. Den Bosch are looking forward to face league's second-placed Zwolle on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Groningen will play against Amsterdam and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Leeuwarden supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Zwolle (17-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Leeuwarden (7-16). Zwolle did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 81-63. American center Clayton Vette (202-88, college: Winona St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Nick Oudendag contributed with 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Zwolle's coach Herman van den Belt allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Jordan Gregory (188-92, college: Montana) answered with 24 points and 6 assists for Leeuwarden. Zwolle have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 17-6 record having four points less than leader Groningen. Leeuwarden at the other side keeps the sixth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Amsterdam. Zwolle will play against Den Bosch (#4) at home in the next round. Leeuwarden will play against Leiden and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Weert was also quite interesting. Third ranked Leiden (15-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Weert (3-20). Leiden defeated Weert 71-57 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Daviyon Draper who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 9 rebounds. Jeroen van-Vugt responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leiden maintains third place with 15-8 record having six points less than leader Groningen. Loser Weert stay dead last with 20 lost games. Leiden will meet at home Leeuwarden (#6) in the next round. Weert will play against Rotterdam and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 23 Amsterdam was defeated by Rotterdam in a road game 76-72.

Leeuwarden - Zwolle 63-81

The game in Leeuwarden supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Zwolle (17-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Leeuwarden (7-16). Zwolle did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 81-63. The game without a history. Rotterdam - Amsterdam 76-72

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Amsterdam (7-16) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Rotterdam (10-13) 76-72 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great evening for American guard Jermaine Marshall (193-90, college: Arizona St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import forward Greg Mays (203-93, college: Green Bay, agency: Court Side) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Aaron Roye (184-88) responded with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Dimeo Van-Der-Horst (197-91) scored 20 points. Four Amsterdam players scored in double figures. Rotterdam maintains fifth place with 10-13 record. Amsterdam lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Leeuwarden. Rotterdam will meet at home bottom-ranked Weert (#8) in the next round. Amsterdam will play against the league's leader Groningen and hope to secure a win.

It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Leiden's pressure prevailed and they won that period 21-11 extending their advantage to 14 points. International forward Mohamed Kherrazi (200-90) helped adding 8 points and 15 rebounds.
