Clayton
Vette
American Clayton Vette (202-C-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Zwolle and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 28-year old center had a double-double of 15 points and seventeen rebounds, while his team crushed Leeuwarden (#6, 7-16) with 18-point margin 81-63. Zwolle maintains the 2nd position in Dutch Eredivisie. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Zwolle will need more victories to improve their 17-6 record. Vette turned to be Zwolle's top player in his first season with the team. Winona State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Vette is in league's top in points (4th best: 17.9ppg), rebounds (4th best: 8.4rpg) and averages solid 57.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American guard Jordan Gregory (188-G-92) of Leeuwarden. Gregory impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Leeuwarden lost that game 63-81 to the higher-ranked Zwolle (#2, 17-6). Leeuwarden is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-16 record. Gregory is a newcomer at Leeuwarden and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#3). He also recorded 3.1 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Jermaine Marshall (193-G-90) of Rotterdam (#5). Marshall showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, six rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Rotterdam, leading his team to a 76-72 win against slightly lower-ranked Amsterdam (#7, 7-16). The chances of Rotterdam ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Marshall could help Rotterdam to bring them higher in the standings. Marshall has a great season in Holland. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.8ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 8.1rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Daviyon Draper (201-F-94) of Leiden - 26 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Lance Jeter (191-PG-88) of Groningen - 15 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
6. Nick Oudendag (210-C-87) of Zwolle - 17 points and 11 rebounds
7. Chase Fieler (203-F-92) of Groningen - 24 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Greg Mays (203-F-93) of Rotterdam - 15 points and 6 rebounds
9. Rogier Jansen (188-SG-84) of Leiden - 20 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Maarten Bouwknecht (185-PG-94) of Den Bosch - 18 points and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
