The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season.

Sixth-ranked Leeuwarden (7-18) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Rotterdam (12-13) on Saturday. The visitors from Rotterdam managed to secure only three-point victory 87-84. However their fans expected easier game. Leeuwarden cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Rotterdam forced 20 Leeuwarden turnovers. Strangely Leeuwarden outrebounded Rotterdam 36-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. American guard Jermaine Marshall (193-90, college: Arizona St.) stepped up and scored 42 points (!!!) for the winners and the former international swingman Ties Theeuwkens (191-85, agency: Court Side) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Jordan Gregory (188-92, college: Montana) responded with 27 points. Rotterdam have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 12-13 record. Leeuwarden lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 18 games lost. Rotterdam are looking forward to face higher ranked Leiden (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leeuwarden will play against the league's leader Groningen (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Leiden. American forward Charles Mitchell (203, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) nailed 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Justin Watts accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds. Den Bosch's coach Sander van der Holst allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international center Thomas Koenis (210-89, agency: Court Side) came up with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for Leiden in the defeat. Den Bosch maintains fourth place with 13-12 record. Leiden at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Den Bosch will play against Amsterdam (#6) on the road in the next round. Leiden will play against Rotterdam and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
