Atomeromu hired a new head coach. Enrique Gutierrez will take over the Hungarian team. The Spaniard will replace Peter Volgyi in the office. Enrique Gutierrez was at helm of CB Movimientos Puente Genil in EBA last season. Previously he worked as head coach in Algeciras, Ejido, Club Granada, Club Oximeca, Motril. Former international center Marton Bader (212-C-80, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Szolnok, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17. The 31-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Szedeak (#11, 5-12) 90-88. [read more]
Former international center Marton Bader (212-C-80, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Szolnok, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17. The 31-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Szedeak (#11, 5-12) 90-88. Szolnok maintains the 4th position in Hungarian A Division. They are still close to the very top. Szolnok would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 13-3 record. It's Bader's second year at Szolnok and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Marton Bader has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.0rpg) and averages impressive 67.9% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Serbian Ivan Miskovic (203-F/C-84) of Marso NYKK. Miskovic had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Marso NYKK lost that game 69-88 to slightly higher-ranked Kaposvari (#8, 7-9). This loss caused Marso NYKK to drop to 10th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-11 record. Miskovic is a newcomer at Marso NYKK, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Jonathan Levy (193-G-82) of Szedeak (#11). Levy showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, six rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Levy's great performance Szedeak lost 88-90 to the higher-ranked Szolnok (#4, 13-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Szedeak can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Levy he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Levy has a very solid season. In 13 games in Hungary he scored 18.2ppg. He also has 5.6rpg, 3.2apg, 1.2bpg and FGP: 56.3%.

Tomislav Ivosev) of Szedeak - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists 9. Obie Trotter (186-G-84) of Szolnok - 14 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists 10. Andrija Ciric (199-G-80) of PVSK Pannon - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. Szolnok beat Chalon to tie both records in EuroChallenge Group J. The Hungarian team celebrated 90:81 victory in Szolnok.

Szolnok beat Chalon to tie both records in EuroChallenge Group J. The Hungarian team celebrated 90:81 victory in Szolnok. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game. Szolnok looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. After Malcolm made just one of two free-throws for Chalon, Obie Trotter (186-G-84, agency: Court Side, college: Alabama A&M) nailed a three-pointer for an 81:68 lead. Chalon chipped away at the deficit but got no closer than six the remainder of the game. The hosts were 11 of 25 from long range and Chalon five of 18. It was a very good performance for Obie Trotter who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Brandon Gay (203-F-82, agency: Edge Sports, college: San Diego) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Blake Schilb replied with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Alade Aminu (207-C/F-87, college: Georgia Tech) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Chalon/Saor.
