There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in A Division.

Sixth-ranked Kecskemeti (13-11) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Kormend (18-6) on Wednesday. Kormend managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 18-8. But Kecskemeti won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 27 personal fouls committed by Kecskemeti helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Rashad Bell (201-82, college: Boston U.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. The former international guard Istvan Nemeth (190-79, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian swingman Marko Derasimovic (200-84) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds. Kormend maintains fourth position with 18-6 record. Kecskemeti lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 11 games lost. Kormend are looking forward to face higher ranked Szolnok (#3) in Szolnok in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kecskemeti will play at home against Jaszberenyi and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
The game in Paks was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Szolnok (20-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Atomeromu (16-8). Szolnok managed to secure a 6-point victory 82-76. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Atomeromu. It was a good game for the former international center Marton Bader (212-80, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Obie Trotter contributed with 23 points for the winners. American Nick Williams (192-83, college: Cincinnati, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds for Atomeromu. Szolnok have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Albacomp. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Szolnok will play against Kormend (#4) at home in the next round. Atomeromu will play against the league's second-placed Albacomp in Szekesfehervar and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Kaposvari will meet league's leader Falco-Szova in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Soproni will play against Marso NYKK (#12) in Nyiregyhaza and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 24 PVSK Pannon defeated FS Debrecen in Pecs 92-87. Albacomp beat ZTE KK at home 77-69.



FS Debrecen - PVSK Pannon 87-92

There was no surprise when 10th ranked FS Debrecen (8-17) was defeated at home by seventh ranked PVSK Pannon (12-12) 92-87 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 27-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Jara Doyne (193-84, college: Mississippi) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (199-80, agency: BeoExcell) who added 23 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Michael Schachtner (206-86, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Justin Ingram (185-85, college: Toledo, agency: Two Points) scored 20 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. PVSK Pannon maintains seventh position with 12-12 record. Loser FS Debrecen keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost. PVSK Pannon will meet at home Szedeak (#11) in the next round. FS Debrecen will play against ZTE KK in Zalaegerszeg and hope to secure a win.

No shocking result in a game in Szekesfehervar where second ranked Albacomp (20-4) defeated bottom-ranked ZTE KK (1-24) 77-69 on Wednesday. ZTE KK trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 24-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-77 at the end of the game. Albacomp dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to ZTE KK's 34. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Roland Hendlein (205-86, agency: TSS Management) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and international power forward Akos Keller (206-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest.
