Playoff Finals, Game 1: UNIQA Eurol. - UNI SEAT 79-60 (1-0)

First game of the Hungarian league Finals was played on Monday night. UNIQA Euroleasing was too strong for UNI SEAT 79-60 taking 1-0 lead in the series. The format is best-of-five and second game is scheduled for Thursday. UNI SEAT will be the host of that one. The game without a history. MKB Euroleasing led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The former international guard Zsofia Fegyverneky (178-84, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) fired 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. International guard Diana Furesz (174-84, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. American-Turkish center Quanitra Hollingsworth (196-88, college: VCU) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and international guard Zsofia Simon (180-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UNIQA Euroleasing is the defending champion. They also were regular season champs with 22-0 record.
