Finals, Game 5: UNIQA Euroleasing - UNI SEAT 55-61 (2-3)

UNI SEAT players shined when it mattered most and outplayed UNIQA Euroleasing tonight as a guest 55-61. It was a decisive Game Five of the Finals and UNI SEAT won the Hungarian league title for season 2011/12. This is the first title for UNI SEAT in the club's history. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 18-5 charge, which allowed them to win the game. UNI SEAT dominated on the defensive end, holding MKB Euroleasing to just 5 points in fourth quarter. The best player for the winners was center Quanitra Hollingsworth (196-88, college: VCU) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Croatian guard Iva Ciglar (170-85, agency: Data Plus Group) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four UNI SEAT players scored in double figures. International center Dora Horti (195-87, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) produced 14 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Ukrainian forward Olexandra Kurasova (186-86) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. UNI SEAT lost Game Four at home and it seemed that's all from them this season, but Hollingsworth and her teammates didn't give up and managed to make the best results in the club's history. UNI SEAT was the second ranked team of the regular season with 20-2 record. They eliminated Bajai with perfect 2-0 in the Quarterfinals. Later in the Semis, UNI SEAT edged Pecs with 2-1. UNIQA Euroleasing was the Hungarian league champion last season, but they are dethroned tonight in the front of their fans.
