The transfer market in Hungary is very busy since almost every day there are new transfers or signings announced. Here are some of the latest transactions which weren't published until now:

Not counting the signing of Istvan Nemeth (188-PG-79, agency: Interperformances) (which we reported yesterday) one of the biggest news in Hungary this week is that Laszlo Kalman (186-G-72, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) will get back on court for the upcoming year too. The 39 (!) year old PG played his entire career with Falco-Szova KC-Szombathely and decided this week that he will spend another year running the point for the team. Laszlo averaged last year 14.1ppg while he led the entire league with 6.1apg. The veteran point guard helped his team to a 23-3 winning record which was good to win the regular season.

Staying with Falco-Szova KC-Szombathely, the team announced the signing of Branislav Jancikin (198-F/G-86), who will join back them this year as a Serbian-Hungarian dual citizen. Branislav played last year for Falco-Szova KC-Szombathely as an import because his naturalization process took a little bit longer time than expected. He averaged last year 7.1 points per game coming from the bench for coach Benczes team.

Hungarian National Team member Gergely Toth (208-PF-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) penned a deal with Sopron earlier this summer. After he was cut from the National Team he joined his new team for the training camp with the options of being ready anytime to get back in the services of the National Team if any injury occurs. Gergely played last year for the relegated Zalakeramia-ZTE KK where he played major minutes averaging 10.6ppg shooting: FGP: 55.6%, 3PT: 24.0%, FT: 64.2%.

Peter Jakab (200-F-93), the member of the Hungarian U20 National Team signed to Naturtex-SZTE-Szedeak Szeged for the upcoming season. The 6'7" forward didn't get much playing time last year with Nyiregyhaza as he appeared in 10 games for an average of 4.3 minutes per game. With the hopes of more playing time he joined Naturtex-SZTE-Szedeak Szeged after he averaged 11ppg in just 19.7mpg for the Hungarian U20 National Team this summer.

The newly promoted Salgotarjan refused of participating in the top level competition so the relegated Zalakeramia-ZTE KK got the chance to enter in the top level again this year. After their application was accepted the team started to sign talented Hungarian players such as Adam Kovacs (200-SF-93) who played last year with Atomeromu SE Paks in the top division and with MAFC in the second division where he averaged 23.2ppg, 7.1rpg and 2.5apg.

Another signing of the team will be David Puszta (187-G-90) a guard from Kecskemeti Univer KSE who played for the citys top division team and played in the second division also where he recorded 17.9ppg, 5.9rpg and 2.0apg.

Meanwhile the talented big man Bence Bodor (206-F/C-92, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) left the team and signed to PVSK Pannonpower Pecs where he will start his collegiate studies. Bence was member of the Hungarian National Team in every age group but he didn't get much playing time yet in the Hungarian first division.

Rosco Allen
Rosco Allen in the NBA-draft - May 29, 2016

23 year old Hungarian forward, Rosco Allen (206-F-93) declared for the NBA-draft in April without signing an agent and with that leaving his options open to return for his final year at Stanford. The common belief was that Rosco will return to college and will help the Cardinals in the very strong Pac-12 conference. When the 6'9" (206 cm) forward decided to hire an agent by signing with Pensack Sports he made it clear that he will stay in the NBA-draft. Rosco was the leading scorer for S...   [read more]
