Josiah Turner (190-G-92, college: Arizona) got a contract for the coming season with Albacomp, but the american player asked his for release because of personal reasons. The management of Alba Fehervar did not have to wait for a replacement and invited american guard Brandon Wood (187-G-89, agency: N.E.T., college: Michigan St.) for a trial period. The 187 cm tall guard started his NCAA carreer with the University of Southern Illinois but was transferred afer one year to Valparaiso. He had a very strong sophomore season averaging 17.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.3apg, 1.0spg and got voted to the Newcomer of the Horizon League. In his junior season he helped his team with 16.7ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.1apg, 1.7spg. He played as a senior for powerhouse Michigan State and put up 8.8ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.9apg for the Spartans who won the Big Ten Tournament and attended the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament. Wood arrived from Skopje to Hungary today, where he was tested by the macedonian team KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom.

TLI-Alba Fehervar lost the first pre-season game against MBK Rieker Com Therm Komarno on Saturday. Komarno started the game better, they won the first two quarters (17-21, 18-24). Alba tried to turn the game in the second half, the played well in the third quarter (20-12). In the last quarter, however, the guest team didn't let Alba to get the lead and won the game by five. Today it got published by FIBA that two hungarian teams won't play in the qualification round against each other and can attend the first group phase of FIBA Europe Cup. Hungary - Austria 61:64 Austria celebrated a narrow victory over Hungary in the test game. Jozo Rados (203-C-93) stepped up with 16 points to lead the winners.
