PEAC-Pecs has signed american center Amy Jaeschke (196-C-89) from MBK Ruzomberok. Pecs is going to be Jaeschke's second European club. The 23 years old Jaeschke has already made his debut in her new team, scoring 16 points against Vojvodina on the Adriatic League opener on sunday. Thanks to her great performance PEAC-Pecs defeated Vojvodina 69-65 in away. The team will play its next match on tuesday, this time in Beograd.

Duquesne Dukes got the invitation to WNIT this year after their first NCAA Tournament experience last season. The young Dukes have senior center Amadea Szamosi (190-F-94) and rookie PG Nina Aho (178-G-97) on their roster from Hungary and also redshirting forward Eniko Kuttor (185-F-97). They played against Drexel at Philadeplhia and they lost on the way what they don't expected by 47:70. Szamosi finished her amazing senior season with double-double, 13 points 11 rebounds and Aho added 5 points. Szamosi averaged 13.0 points and 8.3 rebounds on her last season and was selected to Atlantic 10 Tournament's Team. Nina Aho (178-G-97) averaged 4.3 points and 1.8 assists on her first season.

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Hungarian players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is an international guard Allie Quigley (178-86). She led Fenerbahce to a victory over the closely-ranked Perfumerias Avenida in the Euroleague in Wednesday night's game.

#1. This week's number one is an international guard Allie Quigley (178-86, college: De Paul, currently plays in Euroleague). She led her Turkish team Fenerbahce to a victory over the closely-ranked Perfumerias Avenida (7-7) 87-80 in the Euroleague in Wednesday night's game.
Quigley was MVP of the game. She scored 28 points (!!!), made 8 passes and 3 steals in 29 minutes on the court.
Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu Istanbul (11-3) is placed second in group A.
It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Quigley has relatively good stats this year: 14.6ppg, 2.5rpg, 3.8apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 49.3%, 3FGP: 29.9% and FT: 88.9% in 17 games she played so far.
She is a naturalized American.
Quigley is currently a member of the Hungarian senior national team. She used to play for Pecs 2010 in Hungarian league.
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Courtney Vandersloot (173-89, college: Gonzaga, currently plays in EuroCup). Vandersloot was the main contributor in a Yakin Dogu BGD's victory against the closely-ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq 73-61 in the Eurocup last Friday.
She was the best player in that game. Vandersloot recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and making 12 passes. She also added 4 rebounds and 5 steals.
It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group D. Yakin Dogu Universitesi B.G.D. (6-0) is placed first.
So far her team won all six games in the Quarter-Finals.
It's Vandersloot's first season with the team.
Vandersloot has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 15.6ppg, 3.8rpg, 8.1apg, 2.3spg, 3FGP: 52.2%(12-23) and FT: 81.8%.
Vandersloot is a naturalized American.
She is in the roster of the Hungarian senior national team. Vandersloot used to play for HAT-AGRO UNI Gyor in Hungarian league.
#3. The Hungarian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Tijana Krivacevic (196-90, currently plays in Turkey). She could not help Girne Universitesi (5-15) in their last game. Despite Krivacevic's very good performance Girne Universitesi was edged 93-90 on the road by the higher-ranked (#7) Istanbul Uni.
She scored 15 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 20 minutes.
This year Krivacevic has relatively solid stats: 10.7ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.4apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 49.2%, 3FGP: 19.4% and FT: 58.0% in 16 games.
She has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Hungarian.
Ex-UNIQA Euroleasing Sopron player is also a member of the Hungarian senior national team.
#4. Forward Reka Fejes (186-87, currently plays in Denmark) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Stevnsgade (2-26) crushing them 77-51 in the Danish Dameligaen last Saturday.
Fejes scored 12 points.
Lemvig VB (9-9) is placed fourth in the Dameligaen.
Fejes' overall stats this season are: 4.9ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.1apg.
She used to play for the Hungarian national team
back in 2010.

#1. Experienced Ildiko Nagy (187-F/C-84, currently plays in Romania) led ICIM Arad to an easy victory against the third-ranked Sirius TgM (4-18) crushing them 84-62 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Thursday night's game.
Nagy scored 13 points, had 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks.
It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 7-10. BC Univ. Goldis ICIM Arad (11-11) is placed first.
It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical.
Nagy's overall stats this season are: 7.1ppg and 5.1rpg.
She has a dual citizenship: Hungarian and Romanian.
#2.Andreea Olah (181-G/F-86, currently plays in Romania). Olah could not help Satu Mare (9-17) to beat CSM Targoviste (18-8).
She scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes.
The sixth-placed Satu Mare (9-17) lost 55-61 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) CSM Targoviste in the Places 1-6 group.
It was Satu Mare's sixth consecutive loss in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial.
This year Olah's overall stats are: 9.6ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.8apg in 26 games she played so far.
She is another player who holds two passports: Hungarian and Romanian.
#3.Kata Takacs (184-F-91, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Herner TC in their game against Hannover (10-11) in the German DBBL.
Takacs scored only 4 points.
Herner TC was crushed 80-56 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Hannover (#7).
Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important.
Takacs' overall stats this season are: 3.0ppg and 3.1rpg.
She has both Austrian and Hungarian nationalities.
#4.Hanna Demeter (190-SF-94, currently plays in Romania) is a teammate of previously mentioned Ildiko Nagy and both played together in the last Romanian Liga Nationala game.
Demeter managed to help BC Univ. Goldis ICIM Arad in a victory against the third-ranked Sirius TgM (4-18) crushing them 84-62.
She scored only 2 points in 18 minutes.
This year Demeter averages just 0.9ppg in 14 games.
She also holds two passports: Hungarian and Romanian.

She turned to be Atomeromu's top player in her first season with the team. Lisec has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 15.2ppg), rebounds (5th best: 8.3rpg) and averages solid 55.8% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American forward Jessica Kuster (188-F-92) of PEAC-Pecs. Kuster impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as PEAC-Pecs was edged by the lower-ranked ZTE NKK (#7, 9-10) 81-79. This loss caused PEAC-Pecs to drop to 4th position in the standings. Her team's 13-5 record is not bad at all. Kuster is a newcomer at PEAC-Pecs and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.1ppg (#2). She also registered 7.2 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was international guard Dora Medgyessy (174-G-86) of Cegledi EKK (#3). Medgyessy showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, five rebounds and eight assists in the last round. She was a key player of Cegledi EKK, leading her team to a 70-57 easy win against the lower-ranked Vasas Akademia (#8, 5-14). Cegledi EKK needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 5 lost games. Medgyessy has a great season in Hungary. After 18 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 9.2apg (best passer). She also has 2.6spg and FGP: 56.6%.

Krisztina Sule (178-F-87) of ELTE-BEAC - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists 9. Agnes Studer (169-G-98) of Atomeromu - 15 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists 10. Cassie Rochel (193-C-91) of Vasas Akademia - 13 points and 12 rebounds
