Uniqa-Euroleasing Sopron triumphs at Gocsej Cup. The team won over UNI Gyor 66:62 in the Final game of the competition.
Uniqa-Euroleasing Sopron started the game with 19-10 and led 8 points at the halftime. UNI Gyor responded with 17-12 in the third period, but Uniqa-Euroleasing needed 17-16 in the final period to seal 4-point victory. Jelena Milovanovic (190-F-89) stepped up with 20 points for the winners, while Zsofia Fegyverneky (178-G-84, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) and Zsovar had 12 each. Rita Rasheed (180-F-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) delivered 14 in defeat and Simon brought 10.
In the game for the third place Galatasaray overcame ZTE NKK 85:59. The Turkish team started with 16-15 in the first period and then led 40:33 at the halftime. Moreover Galatasaray won the third and the last quarters of the game. Sebnem Nezahat Kimyacioglu (182-F-83, agency: LBM Management, college: Stanford) stepped up with 22 points and Isil Alben (170-G-86) added 18. Yasemen Saylar (173-G-90, agency: 1x1 Sports) followed them with 12 points in a win.

Talented Judit Barnai (189-F/C-94) had a great game in the last round for ELTE-BEAC and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The 22-year old power forward had a double-double of 20 points and fifteen rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team MTK (#10, 0-8) with 16-point margin 70-54. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Miskolc. First ranked PEAC-Pecs faced 4th placed Miskolc. Guests from Pecs (7-1) defeated host Miskolc (5-3) 59-54. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Miskolc. Miskolc trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 23-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 54-59 at the end of the game.
