After the bad start of the season the coaching stuff and the management of Lami-Ved Kormend decided to bring in one more import player and invited Vincent Simpson (185-G-88, agency: R.H.Consultancy, college: Hampton) for a try-out. The 185 cm tall guard will have two weeks to convince the management to get a contract for the rest of the season. Simpson graduated on the University of Hampton in 2010 and had a great senior season averaging 14.9ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.6apg, 2.6spg in the MEAC. He signed his first professional deal with Bochum Astro Stars in Germany and helped his team with 20.8 points, 6.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 9 games. He spent the last season with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Steamers in the PBL and put up 19.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 6.6apg in 21 games of the season. He moved back to Europe two months ago and started the season with Trepca in Kosovo. In 4 games of the BKT Superliga Simpson averaged 17.0 points, 6.2 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game. He already played his first game with Lami-Ved Kormend last night and helped the winners with 11 points, 3 steals, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 31 minutes on the court.
