Coincidentally all hosts won their games. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Round 6 in A Division means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Paks where host Atomeromu (4-2) edged league's leader Albacomp (4-2) 71-68 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 17-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was the former international Gergely Koertelyesi (202-PF-83, agency: TSS Management) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. International swingman David Vojvoda (196-90, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) who recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Atomeromu moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Albacomp. Albacomp will play next round against league's leader Kaposvari trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Atomeromu will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked FS Debrecen on the road.
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Kaposvari as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kaposvari edged 5th ranked Szedeak at home 81-78. It was a good game for American-Kittitian swingman Kyle Swanston (201-86, college: JMU, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Marko Spica contributed with 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international power forward Milan Csorvasi (209-88, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds for Szedeak. Kaposvari have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Szedeak at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Szedeak will play next round against ZTE KK trying to get back on the winning streak. Kaposvari will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Albacomp at Szekesfehervar.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Falco-Szova (4-2) against eleventh ranked Kormend (2-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Falco-Szova was defeated by Kormend in a tough game in Kormend 76-83. Zvonko Buljan had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Kormend's coach Tamas Hencsey used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Laszlo Kalman with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Kormend moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Falco-Szova keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Kormend will meet Marso NYKK (#8) in the next round. Falco-Szova will play against Jaszberenyi (#5) and hope to secure a win.
Bottom-ranked FS Debrecen (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 88-78 loss to tenth ranked ZTE KK (2-4) in Zalaegerszeg. Important game to mention about took place in Jaszberenyi. Seventh ranked Jaszberenyi (4-2) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 9th ranked PVSK Pannon (2-4) 82-80 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Miljan Rakic who scored 25 points and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). PVSK Pannon's coach Ferenc Csirke rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jaszberenyi moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser PVSK Pannon dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Jaszberenyi will face Falco-Szova (#6) in Szombathely in the next round. PVSK Pannon will play at home against the league's second-placed Soproni.

In the last game of round 6 Marso NYKK was defeated by Soproni in a road game 90-84.
The best stats of 6th round was 30 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals by Anthony Nelson of Marso NYKK.

Soproni - Marso NYKK 90-84

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Marso NYKK (2-4) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Soproni (4-2) 90-84 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-18. But Marso NYKK won second period 17-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Soproni made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Marso NYKK was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (208-90) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Jeremy Wise (191-86, college: S.Mississippi) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Soproni players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Anthony Nelson (185-89, college: Niagara) who recorded 30 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Soproni have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Marso NYKK dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Soproni will face PVSK Pannon (#10) in Pecs in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Marso NYKK will play at home against Kormend.

Bottom-ranked FS Debrecen (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 88-78 loss to tenth ranked ZTE KK (2-4) in Zalaegerszeg. FS Debrecen was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 28-11 charge of ZTE KK, which allowed them to win the game. They made 25-of-32 charity shots (78.1 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by FS Debrecen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Very important is a road loss of second ranked Falco-Szova (4-2) against eleventh ranked Kormend (2-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Falco-Szova was defeated by Kormend in a tough game in Kormend 76-83. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-15. But Falco-Szova won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Kormend won last quarter 25-20. Hungarian center, Milan Csorvasi(209-F/C-88, agency: HMS) signed for 2 more seasons with Egis Kormend. The 209 cm tall, 29 years old big man has been playing his first season for the red-black team after spending two seasons with Alba Fehervar, two seasons with Naturtex-Szedeak and some more seasons with Kecskemet, Szolnok and Sopron.
