28-year old forward Bennet Davis (206-F-84, agency: KMG Sports Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for Marso NYKK and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Kormend (#11, 2-5) with 17-point margin 97-80. Marso NYKK is placed at 7th position in Hungarian league. Marso NYKK is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-4 record. In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Marso NYKK's top player in his first season with the team. Northeastern University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Davis is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 9.3rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 56.3% FGP. Worth to mention Davis played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Filip Barovic (208-F/C-90) of Soproni. He is Montenegrin forward in his first season at Soproni. In the last game Barovic recorded impressive 26 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Soproni lost that game 79-90 to the lower-ranked PVSK Pannon (#9, 3-4). This loss caused Soproni to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Barovic is a newcomer at Soproni and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#1). He also registered 8.7 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Miljan Rakic (195-G-86, agency: BeoExcell) of Jaszberenyi (#5). Rakic showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, ten rebounds and seven assists in the last round. Despite Rakic's great performance Jaszberenyi lost 91-96 to the higher-ranked Falco-Szova (#1, 5-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Jaszberenyi needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Rakic has a great season in Hungary. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.9apg (6th best). He also has FGP: 52.2% and 3PT: 50.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Rastko Dramicanin (207-C-86) of Jaszberenyi - 32 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Christopher Dunn (189-PG-83) of Kaposvari - 30 points and 2 assists
6. Matt Shaw (203-F-88) of Kormend - 28 points and 5 rebounds
7. Teo Simovic (205-C-84) of ZTE KK - 26 points and 9 rebounds
8. Martins Berkis (198-F-85) of Marso NYKK - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Brad Loesing (182-G-89) of PVSK Pannon - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists
10. Anthony Gurley (190-G-88) of Szedeak - 29 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
