Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

There was a change at the A Division leadership position after last games. Round 8 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Falco-Szova (5-3). They were defeated by third ranked Kaposvari (6-2) 103-95 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Falco-Szova. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Falco-Szova trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 25-17 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 95-103 at the end of the game. Kaposvari shot 62.9 percent from the field and made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. Kaposvari forced 20 Falco-Szova turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Marko Spica (205-C/F-86, college: Cent.Michigan) who helped to win the game recording 32 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and the former international Roland Hendlein (203-86, agency: TSS Management) who added 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. American guard Jonathan Levy (193-82, college: CS San Bernar.) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Kaposvari keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Albacomp and Atomeromu. Falco-Szova at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Soproni. They were replaced at the leadership position by Atomeromu. Falco-Szova will play next round against Marso NYKK trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kaposvari will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked ZTE KK in Zalaegerszeg.
The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Atomeromu as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Falco-Szova) loss. Atomeromu defeated 9th ranked Marso NYKK in Paks 83-72. The winners were led by American point guard Lorenzo Williams (189-84, college: Rice, agency: Court Side) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 assists and Gergely Koertelyesi supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Even 20 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by American guard Anthony Nelson (185-89, college: Niagara) did not help to save the game for Marso NYKK. Atomeromu have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Albacomp and Kaposvari. Marso NYKK at the other side dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Marso NYKK will play next round against strong Falco-Szova trying to get back on the winning streak. Atomeromu will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Szedeak at Szeged.
Bottom-ranked FS Debrecen (0-8) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to eleventh ranked Kormend (3-5) 94-76 on Saturday evening. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kormend moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser FS Debrecen still closes the standings with eight games lost. Kormend will meet PVSK Pannon (#10) in the next round. FS Debrecen will play against the league's second-placed Albacomp and will have a slim chance for a victory.
Fifth ranked Soproni (5-3) crushed at home 8th ranked Szedeak (3-5) by 26 points 102-76, which is the biggest margin this round. Jeremy Wise orchestrated the victory by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Soproni moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Falco-Szova. Szedeak lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with five games lost. Soproni's next round opponent will be Jaszberenyi (#6) on the road. Szedeak will play against the league's leader Atomeromu in Paks.
