Calvin
Watson
Just 4 days ago in the last regular season game of Kis-Raba menti Takarek Soproni KC, one of the best guards in the league, Jeremy Wise (191-G-86, college: S.Mississippi) suffered a knee injury. The official website of the team (www.sakc.hu) announced yesterday some really bad news: Jeremy suffered an ACL rupture, which will require a surgery and will sideline him for a few months.

As the team will face a lot of important games they couldnt do nothing else but search a replacement.

According to the bb1.hu website the new addition of the team will be American guard, Calvin Watson (197-G-85, agency: Court Side, college: N.Texas) who started the season with Hungarian powerhouse Szolnok, but was cut by the team in late October due to poor performance in the Adriatic League. Although his short stint with Szolnok, Watson is a well know and much respected player in our country as he led ZTE KK to win both the Hungarian Cup and the Hungarian Championship in 2010. After averaging that year 17.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.5apg and 2.2spg (FGP: 60.3%, 3PT: 36.1%, FT: 80.2%) he was selected by eurobasket.com as the All-Hungarian League Import Player of the Year and Player of the Year too.

Despite the strong resume it will be seen how hard it will be for him to replace Jeremy Wise, who posted for Kis-Raba menti Takarek Soproni KC 19.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.6apg and 1.8spg (FGP: 60.8%, 3PT: 36.6%, FT: 76.2%) in 9 regular season game and helped them to a 5-6 record which is good for the 6th place in the league.

As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season in pro basketball. Edwards received All-AEC 2nd Team award back in 2013 at his college time. Edwards was a member of Canadian Un...   [read more]

Travis Cohn
Travis Cohn (ex Jaszberenyi) agreed terms with Imola - 1 day ago

Andrea Costa Imola (Serie A2) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American point guard Travis Cohn (188-79kg-89, college: Jacksonville). He played most recently at FORTRESS Jaszbereny in Hungarian A Division. Cohn managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!).
