He had the game-high 23 points adding six rebounds and nine assists for Szedeak in his team's victory, helping them to beat Kaposvari (#6, 8-5) 94-89. Szedeak maintains the 7th position in Hungarian league. Szedeak is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-6 record. Boltic turned to be Szedeak's top player in his first season with the team. Boltic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 7.3apg) and averages solid 60.8% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Ryan Wright (206-C/F-87) of Vasas. He is Canadian in his first season at Vasas. In the last game Wright recorded impressive double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Vasas cruised to a 90-80 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked PVSK Pannon (#4, 8-5). Despite this victory they still are the lowest ranked team. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Vasas managed to get this year. Wright is one of the most experienced players at Vasas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Matt Tiby (203-F/C-92) of Atomeromu (#12). Tiby got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for eighteen rebounds . Despite Tiby's great performance Atomeromu lost 95-99 to the higher-ranked ZTE KK (#3, 9-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Atomeromu can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Tiby he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Tiby has individually a great season in Hungary. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.5rpg (4th best).
Other top performing players last week: 4. Zsolt Szabo (202-F-86) of ZTE KK - 23 points and 17 rebounds 5. Lawrence Gilbert (200-F-86) of Atomeromu - 21 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists 6. The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
