The most important game in the last round took place in Pecs between third ranked PEAC-PECS (9-7) and ninth ranked Cegledi EKK (4-12) on Saturday night. PEAC-PECS was defeated by Cegledi EKK in a tough game at home 77-81. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-18. But PEAC-PECS won second period 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cegledi EKK made 30-of-35 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 PEAC-PECS turnovers. 29 personal fouls committed by PEAC-PECS helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Katinka Orban (176-89) fired 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Dora Medgyessy (174-86) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Cegledi EKK's coach Gabor Ujhelyi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Andrea Barbour (177-89, college: VCU) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Cegledi EKK moved-up to eighth place, which they share with BSE-FCSM. Newly promoted PEAC-PECS keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Cegledi EKK is looking forward to face bottom-ranked MBK Eurl.Vasas (#10) in Budapest in the next round. PEAC-PECS will play on the road against Atomeromu (#7) in Szekszard and is hoping to win this game.

UNI Gyor's coach Akos Fuzy allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International guard Timea Czank (176-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) replied with 14 points for ZTE NKK. UNI Gyor have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 13-3 record having just three points less than leader UNIQA Eurol. ZTE NKK at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. UNI Gyor will play against BSE-FCSM (#9) in Budapest in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ZTE NKK will play at home against the league's leader MKB Euroleasing (#1) in Sopron and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Undefeated leader MKB Euroleasing delivered the sixteenth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked BSE-FCSM (4-12) 83-38 in Sopron. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BSE-FCSM. Undefeated MKB Euroleasing (16-0) have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 16 victories in a row. Loser BSE-FCSM keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Cegledi EKK. MKB Euroleasing will meet ZTE NKK (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. BSE-FCSM will play against the league's second-placed UNI Gyor and hope to secure a win.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Budapest. Local MBK Eurl.Vasas (1-15) were outscored by sixth ranked DKSK (9-7) 100-44. The winners were led by Maja Skoric who scored that evening 17 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. DKSK moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. MBK Eurl.Vasas at the other side stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. DKSK's next round opponent will be Bacsbasket (#5) in Baja. MBK Eurl.Vasas will play on the road against Cegledi EKK (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 16 Atomeromu was defeated by Bacsbasket in Baja 79-61.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Gyor. Second ranked UNI Gyor faced one of their biggest challengers ZTE NKK. Host UNI Gyor (13-3) defeated guests from Zalaegerszeg (9-7) 75-57. The game was mostly controlled by UNI Gyor. ZTE NKK was better in fourth quarter 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded ZTE NKK 33-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. UNI Gyor players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. DKSK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MBK Eurl.Vasas to just 5 points in third quarter. DKSK dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to MBK Eurl.Vasas' 26. DKSK forced 30 MBK Eurl.Vasas turnovers and outrebounded them 37-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by MBK Eurl.Vasas' players. 24 personal fouls committed by MBK Eurl.Vasas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Bacsbasket forced 24 Atomeromu turnovers. 30 personal fouls committed by Atomeromu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
