The most exciting game of round 15 in the A Division took place in Szombathely. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Falco-Szova (8-7) to sixth ranked PVSK Pannon (8-7) 95-94 in the game for the fifth place. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Falco-Szova won fourth quarter 28-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PVSK Pannon made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). His fellow American import guard Brad Loesing (182-89, college: Wofford) helped adding 17 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was Slovenian forward Zeljko Zagorac (204-81) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Falco-Szova's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. PVSK Pannon moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Falco-Szova. PVSK Pannon is looking forward to face league's second-placed Kaposvari on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Falco-Szova will play against Atomeromu in Paks and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kaposvari (11-4) against ninth ranked Marso NYKK (6-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Kaposvari was defeated by Marso NYKK in a tough game in Nyiregyhazi 75-84. It was an exceptional evening for Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: KMG Sports Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Mate Mohacsi accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). American point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Court Side) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds for Kaposvari in the defeat. Marso NYKK maintains ninth place with 6-9 record. Kaposvari at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Marso NYKK will play against higher ranked ZTE KK (#8) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kaposvari will play at home against PVSK Pannon (#5) in Pecs and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A Division top team - Albacomp (13-3) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Szedeak (5-10) in Szekesfehervar 93-84. The best player for the winners was Damian Hollis who scored 20 points and 5 assists. Albacomp's coach Branislav Dzunic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Nebojsa Dukic who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds. Albacomp maintains first place with 13-3 record. Loser Szedeak keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Albacomp will meet Kormend (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Szedeak will play against Jaszberenyi and hope to secure a win.
12th ranked FS Debrecen (1-14) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Jaszberenyi (7-8) with the biggest margin this round 79-58. It was a good game for Rastko Dramicanin who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jaszberenyi moved-up to seventh place. FS Debrecen at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Jaszberenyi's next round opponent will be Szedeak (#11) in Szeged. FS Debrecen will play on the road against Soproni.


Albacomp - Szedeak 93-84

A Division top team - Albacomp (13-3) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Szedeak (5-10) in Szekesfehervar 93-84. Szedeak trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 25-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 84-93 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Albacomp especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: G.Washington, agency: Two Points) who scored 20 points and 5 assists. American point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) chipped in 9 points and 10 assists. Albacomp's coach Branislav Dzunic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian power forward Nebojsa Dukic (206-85) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Anthony Gurley (190-88, college: Massachusetts) added 24 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Albacomp maintains first place with 13-3 record. Loser Szedeak keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Albacomp will meet Kormend (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Szedeak will play against Jaszberenyi and hope to secure a win.

12th ranked FS Debrecen (1-14) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Jaszberenyi (7-8) with the biggest margin this round 79-58. The game without a history. Jaszberenyi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Jaszberenyi outrebounded FS Debrecen 42-24 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by FS Debrecen's players. It was a good game for Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (207-86, agency: BeoExcell) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Gabor Soos (200-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American forward Kevin Smith (195-89, college: Richmond) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Brian Stafford (193-90, college: Denver) added 11 points in the effort for FS Debrecen. Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kaposvari (11-4) against ninth ranked Marso NYKK (6-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Kaposvari was defeated by Marso NYKK in a tough game in Nyiregyhazi 75-84. It looked good early as Kaposvari took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Marso NYKK had a 23-16 second period charge getting the lead and Kaposvari was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-84. Lithuanian Adomas Drungilas (203-C-90) had a great game in the last round for ZTE KK and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The 26-year old center had a double-double of 21 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team beat Falco KC (#9, 4-5) 90-82. ZTE KK is placed at 4th position in Hungarian A Division. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The game between second ranked Kormend (6-2) and tenth ranked Jaszberenyi (4-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Kormend was defeated by Jaszberenyi in a tough game in Jaszberenyi 88-95. Jaszberenyi forced 20 Kormend turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Kormend helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
