Nora
Nagy-Bujdoso
Former international forward Nora Nagy-Bujdoso (185-F-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best UNI Gyor and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 27-year old forward had the game-high 17 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for UNI Gyor in her team's victory, helping them to outclass BSE-FCSM (#9, 4-13) with 37-point margin 82-45. UNI Gyor maintains the 2nd position in Hungarian A Division. They are still close to the very top. UNI Gyor would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 14-3 record. In the team's last game Nagy-Bujdoso had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. It's her second year at UNI Gyor and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Nagy-Bujdoso has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 7.0rpg) and averages solid 56.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old guard Katinka Orban (176-G-89) of Cegledi EKK. Orban impressed basketball fans with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Of course Cegledi EKK cruised to a 68-59 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked MBK Eurl.Vasas (#10, 1-16). Cegledi EKK's 8th position in the standings has not changed. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Cegledi EKK managed to get this year. Orban is one of the most experienced players at Cegledi EKK and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Amy Jaeschke (196-C-89) of PEAC-PECS (#4). Jaeschke scored 19 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of PEAC-PECS, leading her team to a 70-68 win against the lower-ranked Atomeromu (#7, 6-11). PEAC-PECS needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 7 lost games. Jaeschke has a great season in Hungary. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.1rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Judit Barnai (190-F/C-94) of MBK Eurl.Vasas - 11 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Zsofia Fegyverneky (182-G-84) of UNIQA Eurol. - 19 points and 5 rebounds
6. Lenita Sanford (190-F-89) of DKSK - 11 points and 13 rebounds
7. Reka Balint (182-SF-91) of Atomeromu - 22 points and 6 rebounds
8. Rita Rasheed (182-F-89) of UNI Gyor - 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Shenise Johnson (180-G-90) of UNIQA Eurol. - 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Reka Cserny (190-F-81) of UNIQA Eurol. - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
